Home day of our seminary of the Year 2018 was celebrated on 7th and 8th October. There was a common gathering of the community on 7th evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in which Fr Rector gave a short message of the day. He also thanked the community for the various services rendered to the seminary. The re-launching of the renovated website had also took place during this ceremony. Representatives from ‘I DO designs' Mr. Liju and Mr. Bineesh introduced the website. Fr. Rector distributed the prices for individuals and groups who won the arts and sports competitions this year.
As part of the custom there was a concelebrated Holy Qurbana on 8th morning. Rev. Fr. George Njarakunnel, former Vice-Rector of the seminary and President of PIA and Rev. Fr. Joseph Thayyil, former procurator, who are celebrating their golden jubilee of priesthood, were invited and Fr. Njarakunnel was the main celebrant of the Holy Qurbana. The Rector and the community congratulated them for their wonderful service for the Church.
Afternoon there was a prayer service in the main chapel participated by the whole community and distinguished guests which was followed by lunch. Because of the flood and its consequences that affected Kerala all the programs were simple and the custom of playing a drama during home day was cancelled because of the same.
