St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Mangalapuzha, celebrated the feasts of Assumption of our Lady and the 75th independence day of India on the 15th of August, 2021. Following the solemn celebration of Holy Qurbana presided by Rev. Fr. Luke Thadathil Very. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Palamoottil hoisted the national flag. In his message, he recalled the sacrifice of the freedom fighters and reminded the duty of each citizen of India.
Shri. M. O. John, the Municipal Chairman of Alwaye, inaugurated the official meeting conducted in connection with the independence day celebration. He spoke about the specific contribution of the Church for the realization of individual freedom and human dignity., especially in the field of education. Rev. Fr. Sinto Chittilappilly and Bro. John Olakkengil also addressed the gathering.
